AC270: Parker Quink V-Mail Microfilm Black Ink, Unopened 4oz bottle, boxed.
Date: c1940s
Size: 118ml
This is an unopened and boxed bottled of Parker Quink Microfilm Black ink. This ink was used in the 1940s for troops to write home with. It was especially formulated so that it microfilmed well. The squaddies would write a normal letter on a special form with this ink. It would them be microfilmed and sent home, where it would be printed onto real paper again. This ink should be just as useable today as it was when it was made. I have two bottles of this ink. All bottles are in excellent condition, complete with labels. The metal caps each have a pair of crimps to keep them on, though I will ensure I tape them up for shipping as I don't want them to work themselves loose. The boxes are a bit dilapidated, and now quite fragile. They are faded on one side, so they have probably spent a lot of time in direct light.
