AT024: Cross Century No. 3501 Chrome Plated Ballpoint and Pencil Set, boxed.

Size: Length - 5 1/4 inches.

This beautiful ballpoint pen and pencil set is finished in shiny chrome plate.  Both items are still in pristine condition, looking like they have never been used.   Both items have a black plastic end piece that tapers at the top in traditional Cross fashion.  The imprints are just below this black button and are very crisp.  Below the imprints are the gold filled pocket clips which have a very thin tapered shaft. The caps and barrels are decorated with groups of vertical incised lines with polished panels in between.  A very welcome feature on this set is the hatched gripping area that really helps stop your fingers slipping, and makes the pieces very comfortable in use.   There is a space on the caps for engraving of a name or initials but this is blank.

Ballpoint

This is a retractable ballpoint.  You twist the cap to advance the writing point.  

Pencil

This is a propel-repel pencil that works by twisting the cap.  You can pull the cap off and below is an unused eraser.  Below this are several spare 0.9mm leads.

Box

A blue paperboard box.  This has seen a bit of action with a couple of split corners, and some grubby marks on the outer surface of the lid.  Inside, the pale blue satin pad also has some marks where the pen and pencil sit.
