AT034: Cross Century Classic No. 6601 Gold Filled Ballpoint and Pencil Set, boxed.

Size: Length - 5 1/4 inches.

This beautiful ballpoint pen and pencil set is finished in 12 carat god fill and is still in pristine and as-new condition.  I do not know whether or not either piece has ever been used but they certainly do not look like it.  Both items have a black plastic end piece that tapers at the top in traditional Cross fashion.  The imprints are just below this black button and are very crisp.  Below the imprints are the gold filled pocket clips which have a very thin tapered shaft. The caps and barrels are decorated with groups of vertical incised lines with polished panels in between.  There are no scratches at all and certainly no dings or other damage.  Unlike many of these Cross sets, there are also no personalisations.  There is a space on the caps for engraving of a name or initials but this is blank.

Ballpoint

The is a retractable ballpoint.  You twist the cap to advance the writing point.  It is fitted with the original Cross ballpoint refill and works perfectly.  The point of the pen is chrome plated.

Pencil

This is a propel-repel pencil that works by twisting the cap.  You can pull the cap off and below is an unused blue eraser.  Below this are several spare 0.9mm leads.  The cone is chrome plated.

Box

A black paperboard box.   Again, in almost pristine condition with a splitto one corner of the lid.  Inside, there is a red  satin pad.  The box is all very clean with one tiny mark on the pad where the pencil point rests, and it's still in excellent condition.  It is complete with the original instruction leaflet.
