A new old-stock Hero pen from China.  This pen has never been inked or used, and it is damage-free.  This pen is not boxed, as it was originally sold to suppliers in a  box of 12 that would have been used as the shop display.  A well-made pen, ideal for those situations where an expensive pen might not be the best idea.  Both barrel and cap are made from a transparent resin, and you can see all the working through it, including how much ink you have left.  The cap has a large flat top button that holds on the chrome plated washer-style pocket clip.  This is a good strong and substantial affair with four stars imprinted at the shoulder.  Laser printed around the cap lip is the Hero logo and the model number of the pen.  This is a cartridge / converter pen and the barrel unscrews to allow filling the pen using either the included ink converter or a standard international sized ink cartridge.  The nib is made from stainless steel, with an iridium tip, and is bizarrely imprinted "GERMANY", though tellingly, not "MADE IN GERMANY"!

I did just dip the nib to get the writing sample below.  It feels very smooth and writes with a good wet and medium width line.   These Hero pens really are excellent writers - better than some pens many times their cost.
