SW328 Swan Leverless No. 4260.
Date: c1948
Size: Capped - 5 3/16 inches; posted
- 6 1/4 inches.
A very nice jet black glossy Swan Leverless pen.
The only damage I can find on it is a little plating wear to
the pocket
clip ball and shoulder. This is n ot really noticeable without some form of magnification. Otherwise the pen is essentially undamaged.
This is one of those post-war torpedo shaped Swans.
Both the barrel end and cap top taper quite sharply to a
point. The cap is fitted with a gold filled Swan pocket clip
with the Swan logon imprinted at the top, a ridged stem and a ball at
the bottom. There are three gold filled cap bands - a wider
band flanked by two narrow ones. The barrel has a good sharp
imprint and a milled blind cap that is twisted to fill the pen.
The nib is a Swan No. 2 made from 14 carat gold and
in a medium point.
I have fully serviced this pen. It writes with
a very smooth action. It lays down an excellent wet
and medium width line.
